Disability Access
Forward Access assists with providing owners, designers and builders an easy and straight forward solution to navigating Accessibility requirements.
We work on all types of buildings and public spaces, from the inception of the design, throughout construction and even after the development is completed.
NDIS SDA Approvals
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) are homes designed with accessible features to ensure those living with high support needs can live more independently and comfortably, in their own homes.
As an accredited and registered SDA assessor, Forward Access can issue an SDA certificate to confirm the design stage or final built product complies with the SDA Design Standard.
LHA Approvals
To enrol dwellings as LHA compliant, the building must be assessed by an Accredited and Registered LHA Assessor, then deemed to comply with the LHA Design Guidelines. The housing is then certified to a Silver, Gold or Platinum Level under the guidelines.

Building Audits
Building audits are generally carried out periodically and the building may already be occupied. Building audits may discover potential Accessibility or Safety issues and provide solutions for the best way forward.
Forward Access can conduct site inspections and desktop audits to determine compliance with an existing building or a proposed renovation.
Performance Solutions
A performance solution is one way to satisfy compliance with the Building Code of Australia.
A performance based solution will be required if you cannot strictly adhere to the Deemed to Satisfy requirements of the National Construction Code.
