HELPING YOU ACHIEVE SDA DESIGN STANDARD COMPLIANCE
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) are homes designed with accessible features to ensure those living with high support needs can live more independently and comfortably, in their own homes. SDA residences are designed to allow support services to be delivered easily and safely for everyone involved.
To meet SDA requirements, the building must be assessed and deemed to comply with the SDA Design Standard.
An accredited and registered SDA assessor is the only person who can issue an SDA certificate to confirm the design stage or final built product complies with the SDA Design Standard. Any buildings seeking to enroll with the NDIS must meet the design requirements and categories outlined within the Standard.
The four categories are:
- Improved Liveability
- Robust
- Fully Accessible
- High Physical Support
A Forward Access Accredited and Registered SDA Assessor can help you achieve in any category.
Forward Access can assist you from design stage all the way to the final as built stage of the development.
